Different types of soundproofing materials
Sound insulation is a method of reducing the amount of sound that
reaches a particular point, such as a room.
The sound comes from the internal or external elements of the room.
Examples are; operating machines near you, busy highways, construction
sites or home theater systems.
The sound also enters the room through the following spaces:
Windows
door
ceiling
wall
floor
Therefore, these building components need to be sound proofed in areas
where excessive noise is required.
Type of soundproofing material
The use of soundproofing materials depends on the type of space and
space you need to prove. For example; commercial sound insulation can
use a block
at a specific point where sound insulation is required.
Therefore, different types of materials are suitable for the various
elements of the building. This is a commonly used sound insulation
material.
Insulation board
The panels are primarily used to isolate existing walls, floors and
ceilings. Drywall panels provide a source of quality and are an
important proofing property.
The damped drywall is acoustically insulated for additional insulation.
You can apply a wetting agent on two drywalls to make it moist. In
addition, you can use the soundboard in the floor as a spacer to sound
the room.
However, they do not provide maximum sound insulation, but they are very
useful without the need for additional proofing quality.
Road insulation board
Mass load vinyl
This material is dense, highly flexible and has excellent sound
insulation. It helps to fill gaps, wrap metal columns and pipes or
requires flexible noise barriers.
In addition, MLV is a good commercial sound insulation material due to
the durability and quality characteristics of the soundproofing
material.
Seals
The seal helps to soundproof the room by preventing sound from passing
through closed doors and windows. They are airtight and therefore have
little or no noise
beyond the frame surface of the wall opening.
The seal is made of rubber or foam and placed on the edge of the door
and on the frame to fill the gap between the opening and the frame.
The seal can be a good sound insulator for the soundproofing room of the
studio to prevent noise from reaching other rooms and to prevent
external noise that can
affect the quality of the recording.
Acoustic sealant
These sealing materials are critical for sealing seams in other
soundproofing materials.
They prevent cracks, cracks and openings in building components such as
walls from leaking sound. Therefore, they must be placed correctly to
ensure the efficiency
of the soundproof material
