Composition of acoustic plasters:
The market-standard acoustic plasters impress with a great deal of
diversity and flexibility. The acoustic plasters are usually made on the
basis of perlite (ground and puffed volcanic rock) and consist of
various components.
Predominantly dispersion-bound and mineral acoustic plasters are used.
Perlite itself already has a sound-absorbing effect, but its effect
alone is not sufficient for optimum acoustics. The design and thus the
formation of capillaries in the plaster causes it to remain
sound-absorbing in the case of a direct coating and transparent in the
case of a coating on acoustic panels.
The drying times between the individual applied layers are fundamental
for functionality and appearance.
